Delay Stage
I aligned a Delay stage. I used this website to help with the initial thought process, but I had to addd more steps for this specific set up.
The complexity of our setup is created by the nozzle needing to by shown on the camera. This does help us know if the stage is perfect.
- Turn on the laser, but close the iris in the chamber that control the main laser path.
- Use the website to align the 1st mirror of the stage
- in the shortest stage position, Find the nozzle on the thorlabs camera.
- Move the stage back, and note the direction your light is moving on the camera.
- Just before your light leaves the screen, Use the 2nd mirror to move the light back to the initial position, as if the stage was in its closest setting.
- Adjust the 1st mirror to bring the light to the nozzle.
- move the stage to the closest position
- repeat steps 4-7
Example: if the stage is in the closest position, and in the top right of the camera. Then, as you move the state back, it goes to the bottom left, you should adjust the second mirror to the top right. Then adjust the first mirror to the center.
